I have recently completed the manuscript for 'Orion and the Sword of Kings' and finished it off at around 350 pages. It isn't the longest book in history, but it does capture a lot when it comes to the plot. The only thing left to do now is editing it and that could take a few months.
Book 2 currently entitled 'Orion and the Amulet of Tereis' is the second book in the series, I started writing today and I have currently got 55 pages done. I have to say, it is darker than the first.

Name: Orion Carvona

Biography:
Orion was born into royalty, a prince among men. However he isn’t your typical prince, he is ambitious in gaining anything he desires and has a nag for getting into trouble. Orion is the only heir to the throne of Farckona, the capital city of Midras and the next king.
He is strong and muscular, quite the ladies man and a champion dueller which is sure to help him on his journey.
Name: Maralda
D.O.B: 24th May 1368, age two
Age: 21
Talents: Able to bend men to her will through her looks.
Weapon of choice: Bow and arrow.
Race: Human
Biography:
Little is known of Maralda’s past in Midras, Tebek, leader of Grathan, saved her when she was just an infant. A pirate of the land killed her parents, and since she has been trying to discover who she is. She is Orion’s companion and accompanies him from Grathan on his perilous journey to gain control of the sword.

Biography:
There isn’t much information on Tebek, little is known of his life before he came to Grathan in the late 1330’s and people believe her is older than he claims to be, he appears to be just thirty years of age but it seems he is hiding something.

Biography:
Erenius is the god of darkness, he is the brother of Alderin, god of light and before Alderin’s untimely death he was wise and noble. But after his brother’s death he lost all sense of good and turned evil, killing the Olympian gods Zeus, Hades, Aphrodite and even the Midranian gods. He was avenging his brother’s death but lost his way as his lust for power grew. He was eventually stopped after 1,000 years of darkness by an unknown assassin and trapped in the underworld for thousands of years.

D.O.B: 22nd March 1335, age two

Talents: Champion dueller.

Biography:
Khan is the king of Farckona and the kingdom of Midras is under his command, he is a fierce leader but also a loving father and husband. Not much is known about his past, but legend says he had a part to play in Erenius’ demise a few years before his son was born, though Orion doesn’t know.
Name: Karaan Carvona
D.O.B: 3rd April 1336, age two.
Age: 53
Talents: Sneaking and using the environment as a weapon.
Weapon of choice: Bronze dagger.
Race: Human
Biography:
Karaan is the queen of Farckona, wife of Khan and mother of Orion; she is beautiful in every way. Not much is known of her past before she came to Farckona and aided Khan against Erenius, she is a good friend with Tebek.

Biography:
Noah is the leader of the diamond city of Garna; he is an ally of Khan and fought beside him in the war against a weak Erenius years before Orion’s birth. He is a soldier of the white wanderer, the leader of the force against Erenius.

Biography:
There is little to no information on the white wanderer, his name is unknown to the people of Midras and he is the leader of the force that opposes Erenius. He carries a white staff people believe to be the source of his powers, he can create magic from nothing and use spells against his foes. He aided Khan against Erenius but since then hasn’t been seen by anyone.

D.O.B: 20th June 1318, age two
Age: 71 in human, 27 in Dwarf.
Talents: Very sneaky and obnoxious.
Weapon of choice: Sword
Race: Dwarf
Biography:
Balo is a dwarf, one of the few that remain in Midras after they departed the land to live on a deserted island in the sea; he aids Orion on his journey and runs a farm where he keeps all kinds of animals.
Name: Lucero

Biography:
There is not much information on Lucero, but he is the leader of the five centaurs that left their home land to be free of the reigns that their leader had on them.

Race: Once human, now half-god
Biography:
Draagon is Erenius’ second in command, he is a fierce warrior and ally of the darkness. Legend says that whomever comes into contact with him in a duel will die, he is unbeatable they say, that everyone that has crossed his path has died before him. In many ways he’s more dangerous that Erenius, but chooses to take orders instead of give them.

D.O.B: 13th November 1350
Age: 39
Talents: Loves to eat.
Weapon of choice: Sword
Race: Human
Biography:
Elo is the leader of Halna Town, a mountain refuge for people with nowhere else to go. He also provides Orion with the transport he requires to get to his next destination and is a nice guy who would forgive anyone. Though he wouldn’t share his food with anyone, he does like to eat.

Orion and the Sword of Kings
Synopsis
Orion and the sword of kings is the first novel in the ‘Orion’ series, it is set during a time where magic and mythical beasts once roamed the land.
The first novel focuses on the prince, Orion, who is cast out of his kingdom after an old threat returns in the form of Erenius, the god of darkness. After the god returns the darkness of the underworld is released into the world, causing dangerous beasts to return, such as Minotaur’s and even the dead.
The dark god takes hold of Midras with an iron fist; he makes sure that everyone that is a threat to him is dealt with swiftly and without mercy. But there is but one that can oppose him and stop his evil from spreading, Orion.
In the island city of Grathan, surrounded by a mighty dome made from pure energy, Orion is thrust into an adventure he isn’t prepared for.
He meets Tebek, an old friend of his father, the king, and is shown what many people believe to be a prophecy passed down through generations and read by a man who is bound to revealing it to him, it is here that Orion discovers that there is only one weapon that can defeat Erenius.
The prophecy speaks of a sword in the legendary lost city of Cambrio, a city that cannot be found except, by the one that bears the mark of light. This is Orion; he is the heir of the king and therefore the only one capable of finding the way to the city.
From there Orion meets Maralda and they venture out into the unknown with the weight of the world upon their shoulders. Along the way they encounter Minotaur’s, dwarves, trolls, Gryphon’s, centaurs, elves and even a powerful wizard who aids them on their journey through dreams that Orion has. The journey is long and they meet several important people along the way, they find beautiful places and breathtaking scenery, all to discover what people know as the ‘Ruptures’, powerful weapons created by the gods and used in the war with the Olympian gods such as Zeus and Hades.
Orion must overcome everything Erenius puts in his way, to discover his prize and achieve his destiny….
